Samsung one of the affordable gadget for all especially students.Its features, capability, ease and attractive designs are the factors why Samsung preferred as contemporary gadgets. But do you know how Samsung create remarkable success today? Do want to know some interesting facts about the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world? 

A years ago, ago, Samsung is considered as brand electronics and did not aware by many people as well known product. Quality of their products are considered less and less status than other brands, particularly brands from Japan. However, Samsung's hard work finally worth it. Below there are some facts how Samsung Company achieve what they have today. 

1) Had a Shipping & Construction businesses 

Samsung Electronics manufactures produced smartphones, refrigerator, washing machine up is a part of a conglomerate called the Samsung Group in South Korea. Samsung Group operates in more than 80 business sectors.

In the construction industry, there is a subsidiary of Samsung Engineering and Samsung C & T. They are also involved in developing of Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE, the world's tallest building status. Even one of the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia, also got a corporation by Samsung.
In addition, Samsung also have the Samsung Heavy Industries engaged in the shipping industry. At that time, this divisionbecame as a second largest producer of ships in the world.
 Everland, a famous amusement theme park and oldest in South Korea also owned by Samsung. Other than that, Samsung also have their own insurance companies and car manufacturers that working with Renault.




2) Family run business
 Samsung is called as chaebol. Chaebol is the term for a large conglomerate enterprises run by families generation.Samsung was founded by Lee Byung-chull. After his death, the leadership at Samsung continued by Lee Kun-hee who is the third son of Byung-chull.
Lee have a powerful authority in Samsung. Lee Kun-hee's son named Lee Jae-yong, currently serves as president and chief operating officer of Samsung Electronics.Lee Kun-hee himself had overflowed and property in the list of the richest people in the world. According to estimates by Forbes magazine, his property value is USD 10.8 billion (Rs 33 billion).

3) Began as a noodles Company
In the beginning, Samsung does not producing electronic products. This company built by Lee Byung-chull on 1938 as a food trading company. During that time, Samsung have its headquarters on Daegu, South Korea. After successful, their business moved its headquarters to Seoul. After the Korean war finished, Samsung started to expand its business. In 1954, Samsung developed the largest cotton clothing factory in South Korea. Samsung keep growing success in its business. This success creates an idea for them to venture electronics business in 1960. Their first product is a black and white television sail.

4) Secret of Samsung

In 1993, Lee Kun-hee as a Samsung Chairman visited around the world. He wanted to know how the international market perceptions of the Samsung-made products. Lee was unhappy with the feedback towards brand of Samsung. In one situation, he saw a Samsung television is on bottom shelf and hidden in shop display. While Sony and Panasonic are on the top shelf an easily seen by costumers.

Lee intends to make a transformation to develop Samsung as the high standard of electronics manufacturer. He then gathered Samsung executives in Germany in order to transform it quickly.

On his speech during the Frankfurt Declaration Of 1993, Lee insists Samsung strategy should be modified to catch competitors.

He said "Transform all excludes your wives and your children," told Lee. Since then, Samsung really evolved into a respected electronics manufacturers.









5) Giant electronics manufacturer

Since the 1990s, Samsung Electronics at the peak of success. They became the largest producer of memory chips in the world in 1992 and number two chip maker after Intel.

Based from units sold, Samsung is currently the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world to replace Nokia. Last year, Samsung sold 215.8 million mobile units. They also managed to put their status as television producer with the highest level of sales since 2006.

Samsung success in many areas of electronics manufactures so as to defeat Japan. Since 2005, the Samsung brand is more popular than Sony according to Interbrand study.

6) South Korea known as a Republic of Samsung

Samsung role its very important towards economic development in South Korea. Around 17% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of South Korea are from Samsung.

Samsung products and services was influencing almost all areas of society South Korea. Moreover,most of South Korea citizens used Samsung as their smartphones, lived in the apartment built ​​by Samsung as well and take insurance life under Samsung.
